Giants Win, Giants Win, Giants win!!!!!!!!!

A day I waited for since March 30, 1981 happened last night. The Giants won the WORLD SERIES!! Memories of my Grandfather are swarming through my head at this moment. The most loyal Giants fan I knew. For those of you who don't know my Papa was the best Catholic and biggest giants fan in the entire world I kid you not. Last night when the Giants won I shed a tear thinking of him and how happy he would have been knowing his Giants (who he was the unofficial manager for though no one else knew it) won the World Series. What people don't realize that sports is what brought my family together. Many conversations I have with my Father still to this day revolve around our love for the giants and the Cal Bears. I like my sister remember the days of Will the Thrill, Matt Williams, Rick Russell, Kevin Mitchells bear handed catch, though I wasn't alive the over the shoulder catch by Mays, The shot heard round the world by Bobby Thompson, Humm baby of Roger Craig, the swagger of Dusty, even Barry Bonds not my favorite player but still part of history, Mike and Mike in the morning on the way from Tracy to Fremont when my sister and I were younger and going to Saint Leanards, Battle of the bay , the heart break of '62 and '02, JT Snow, Ott, Mcovey. To the Giants I say "Say Hay", it is always has been and always will be a privilege to be a fan and Thank you for the memories. This is my opinion is the greatest Giants TEAM I have ever seen. They did it with no superstars, no big names, they won playing small ball. Thank you for the yesterday Giants. Let's not wait another 56 years well in my case 29 but either way "Hummmmmm Baby"!!!!! I love you Papa and I miss you especially today.
