"My First Fourth"

Happy Independence Day!

Christopher had a pretty good first 4th of July. It would have been much better if it hadn't been so hot. We started off the day with a fabulous photo shoot. I love taking pictures of Christopher. I love all the funny faces he makes and he has started to put his hands on his head or face a lot lately and it is so cute! Then we went to our ward breakfast at the stake presidents ranch. It actually wasn't technically a "ward breakfast" because there were a lot of people just from the town there as well as our stake. It was a huge breakfast with a great presentation at a beautiful place. Then we came back and took a nap and instead of going to the pool like we should have done on the very hot day, we went to baker park here in Frederick for the 4th of July festival. Bad idea! It was miserably hot! It would have been great if the weather was nice. I love walking around festivals and seeing all the cool stuff. So we came back home tired from being in the heat for only an hour and cooled off before heading to a friends house for a small BBQ and fireworks.

Funny  note: if you looked to the left of CJ in the picture you can see my footprint in the blanket. Hehe.

Beautiful place. This was taken after most everyone had left so you can't tell that there were around 300 people at this event.
