Spring Break in Utah

CJ and I needed a vacation so we got in the car and took a lovely drive to Utah. I had the best time driving! CJ was awesome and I had time to myself to listen to music and books, sing and think. It was blissful!
My parents were staying at the Zion House during their spring break so we joined them and then spent another week at my parents house.

Hiking to the frog ponds. He was such a good hiker! I loved when he grunted and groaned as he climbed through the rocky trail. He was loving it!

To our disappointment we only found one frog. CJ loved touching the frog but even better was playing in the soft sand.

The sunsets are always the best at the Zion House

Jennifer and I went on the best hike together. Echo Canyon hike was a perfect way to spend time together and enjoy several different landscapes in Zion.

I was trying to capture the magnitude of these cliffs. Pictures just don't capture it very well. Our eyes are amazing and I loved seeing the masterpieces Heavenly Father has created!

My mom and I took the kids to Jungle Jims, an indoor mini amusment park. CJ could ride all the rides and loved every second of it! This was his first experience on these kinds of rides and it won't be his last!

This was CJ's favorite ride, "spaceship". I went with him the first time as he was a little nervous but then rode it by himself probably 6 more times.

My 10 day stay was extended a few more days when I rolled my ankled while holding CJ. I have never broke or sprained any body parts so this was a first. It ended up being sprained pretty badly and looked like this for about 4 months. After a few days I could walk on it enough to go home. Luckily it wasn't my right foot so I could drive because I couldn't bend by ankle for two weeks.
