Our Next Adventure......The Beach

Things didn't turn out as we thought for Jeff's last job. They wanted to him to be dishonest and the overall atmosphere wasn't uplifting. We decided in November to start looking elsewhere. Since Jeff currently had his Virginia license (Yes we lived in Maryland and he worked in virginia. Maryland is that small of a state) :) We mostly looked for jobs in Virginia. We looked a few other places including California but the issue was time and money. We didn't have the time or money to go through a three month process of getting a license in either Maryland or California. (Every state is different but most states it is a long process) I was bummed about this because an opportunity came up in California that was an amazing offer but they needed someone right then and Jeff wouldn't be licensed for 3-5 months. So this is why we ended up in Virginia. He already had his license and could start working right away. In January we found a great guy that offered Jeff a job in Virgina Beach. It's a Sports Rehab clinic and it has been a perfect fit for Jeff so far. It is a little scary since our past experiences have been disappointing when we thought things were good. We are just keeping up our faith and praying things will work out how ever they are suppose to and we are doing what's right.
Virgina Beach is beautiful! It's different than Frederick, not quite as lush with green and forest but it is still green and doesn't get as cold as Frederick which is a plus.  I will miss being so close to DC and my wonderful friends in Maryland but Virginia Beach looks promising. We live in a nice neighborhood with a lake and we are 20 minutes from the beach! A beautiful beach with warm water! I am looking forward to spending lots of days there this summer. I am not looking forward to the endless sand in diapers and hair and on my floors though. :/

CJ wanted to be just like daddy and help move things

We sold almost all of our furniture since we moved to a much smaller house and this is what we had left to sit on the last week :)

Goodbye Maryland. You have been good to us and we will miss such a big house and great friends!

Hello new to us house! Isn't it cute?! I am in love with the fence and it is so great to keep the dogs and CJ safe.

My mom was so wonderful and flew out to help us move. She was here for TWO WEEKS! yay for moms!! I don't know how I would have done it without her. We worked non-stop to pack up my house and unpack in the next house. I am so grateful to her and it was so much fun to spend time with her.

He loves the back yard, and so do I!

There is now a new beautiful fence so disregard that ugly one with the random door to block a big hole in the fence.

The beach!!!!!!

"birds"

The dogs LOVE the beach too!

A really fun playground on the beach!

Loving him some Grandma time!

We are all happy to be here in Virginia Beach and are excited for the new adventure that has begun here.

Yay for new adventures!! Having the beach so close sounds like a HUGE plus to me. And a fenced yard is priceless when you have a 2 year old.
