The Spaulding Way: Snow, Hibernation and Endurance

Well I am happy to say we survived winter! I am so glad it's over that I am finally motivated enough to blog about it. (and I have the time after finally getting all moved in, but that will have to be another post)
We got a good amount of snow this year and I am happy to say that I am excited for the lack of snow that will be in my future winters now that I live in a beautiful beach town. But it was fun, well some of the time. The snow was pretty but when it turned to ice two seconds later it wasn't so great. Even worse are the ice storms....eeekkkk that's what you get when you mix rain and humidity in the winter here on the east coast. Church was only cancelled a couple of times for a couple inches of snow which I find funny but the ice does make a difference here. We hibernated a lot this winter and CJ started to get crabby half way through winter and so we braved the snow and ice and cold a few times and went outside. Other than that we spent our days playing ping pong on our kitchen table with the missionaries, watching our new favorite show Once Upon a Time, (ok CJ didn't participate in that one) going to the library LOTS and eating birthday cake.
