Saying Goodbye

We tried to fit in as much as we could in the weeks we had before we left. Here is what we were able to do...

Jeff and I drove 4 hours to Frederick, Maryland to get the last of the boxes we left at a friends house there. We stopped at a few of our favorite places.

I will miss the constant trees along the road, such beauty.

Our favorite place to eat. They have the best pretzels and their pizza crust and calzones are made with the same pretzel dough, so yummy!

It was a beautiful drive as always

One big reason I won't be missing Virginia Beach. Not uncommon to see big bugs and spiders like this one I found on the back fence.

More beautiful adventures we took that last month, I wanted to see every inch of that place but at least I saw some really beautiful parts.

CJ wanted to wear the backpack. This was a little trail on a road that was not in use along the beautiful river that was pictured above.

Then he decided we needed a break so he sat down and got out a snack.

I love the stormy sky in the background. It really wasn't that stormy. It was really warm and barely sprinkling but the sky was always so beautiful when it was going to storm.

We were glad the ward trunk-or-treat/halloween party was a week before we left. It was so fun and made me even more sad to leave such an amazing ward and amazing friends.

This was the longest point in which he held still enough for me to take a picture with his plane costume. He ate a piece of candy and then was off and running again. I was afraid he wouldn't even put it on because he was already pretty stubborn about which clothes he wore everyday and didn't want to put the costume on the day before but to my surprise he put it on and loved it! Thanks to a friend in the ward to gave the costume to me.

Oh the joys of packing with a 2 year old

Spent many days at some of our favorite parks and had fun being able to share so much time with daddy!

We of course spent a afternoon at the beach. The days of swimming at the beach were gone by october but the weather was still nice and the sand sculpture championships were going on so we went to see those and what amazing talent some people have with sand!

Some of my favorite times were on Wednesday nights at the church. Here I am hanging out with some of the Smith family. Often Becky and Michael Smith and Jeff and I would go to a late night movie after Mutual where it was $3.50 at the theater on Wednesday and Xavier (boy in the picture) would watch CJ (CJ would be asleep though). We had some good times at those late night movies and it was so nice to go out on dates with Jeff and also we some really great friends.

Another picture of my crazy BFF. As for the swim cap and goggles, we started going to swim class together and she really motivated me to keep going even though I was awful at first. I came to love swimming and I love this girl!

My best friend Becky and I at women's conference. Words cannot describe how much I miss her and what a great friend she was and is to me.

Though miles may lie between us, we're never far apart, for friendship doesn't count the miles, it's measured by the heart.
