The morning we left my best friend Becky Smith came to say goodbye and parked her car in front of our drive way so we couldn't leave. We said our "see you laters" and started our drive from east to west.
Goodbye beautiful ocean!
Goodbye beautiful trees!
We stopped whenever we felt like it and would find a park to play at. We enjoyed taking our time and enjoying the time together as a family.
Our second night we stopped in Omaha to visit Scott and Rachel's family. It was the first time we had seen them since they moved to Omaha and it was a very nice visit. We stayed two nights and one day. We went to the zoo which was the best zoo I have been to and we didn't even get to see the whole thing. I guess we will just have to go visit again. The best part of visiting for me was just talking to Rachel. We talked a lot and it was wonderful to hear so much about Ellie. I only met her once soon after she was born and to see so many pictures and see so many of her things including all the medical supplies was bitter sweet. I loved hearing everything about Ellie and it made me love her even more but it also made me miss her even more. I am glad I got that time with Rachel and that she shared so many special memories with me.
Just one second before I snapped this photo CJ took Jeff's glasses off and threw them. They came so close to going behind Jeff in the bear's territory. That is why Jeff has that particular look on his face.
Miles and CJ walked around this tree for a long time! It was cute to watch them play together.
Funny faces!
Miles, Mason, Brynn and CJ is hiding behind Miles
CJ thought the best part of the day was sliding down this ramp in the lion house. Pretty gross floor but they were having a blast.
It was a fun day in Omaha thanks to the Murray family.
On the road again
CJ was so good in the car! Rachel gave CJ a Cars sticker book and it entertained me most of the next day. He loved it!
All cuddled up with "B" watching a movie
Wow it is starting to get ugly. Missing the trees A LOT by now in the road trip!
Next stop......Utah.....Zion House!
