The Spaulding Way: Sibling Reunion

With the passing of my grandma, all of my older siblings came out for the funeral which meant all six of us were together for a few days and that hadn't happened in a long time! So we decided we needed to do two things specifically; have a game night (duh) and do something really memorable. What would be more memorabe than skiing! Especially since some of us have never been! I grew up in Utah, with the best snow on earth, but I have never been skiing! No better time then the present to learn right?! It ended up being most definitely memorable. I absolutely loved every minute of it and learning with my brother and sister's help made it that much more memorable. We all agreed that next time all of our spouses needed to be there as well. One spouse was there, Rachel, which was fun because she is so good at snow boarding. It was fun to watch her do it with such ease.

Playing the latest favorite game, Seven Wonders

Me and Jennifer waiting for the others. We were starting to freeze just standing out in the cold. Once we were skiing I was plenty warm but anytime I stopped for more than 5 minutes I started to get cold really quick, especially my toes!

The picture above makes it look like I was scared on the ski lift. Actually I just didn't know Jennifer was taking the picture yet. I always thought the ski lift would be scary though. Instead it was wondeful. Beautiful and relaxing. My feet would start to go numb by the end from cold though. I have come a long way in my fear of heights since I wasn't nervous at all on the lift.
