Winter Wonderland in Utah

The day after Christmas CJ and I flew to Utah to visit my parents. Some of my older sibling were going to visit my parents that week so we went to join the party. Christmas Day was past but we still had some Christmas traditions to fufill.

For me I needed some snow. I am happy living in a place without snow but it is fun to go visit somewhere with beautiful fluffy snow during the Christmas season. No better place than my parents house. Equipt with reindeer and all.

We can't let an opportunity to play games with my dad go by.

Grandma Linda has been dubbed "The Fun Grandma" giving them rides on the four wheeler and pulling them on the sled with the four wheeler. CJ thinks it is the best thing ever!

 The snow was so deep!

 Gingerbread house tradition-- check

It was so cold....it was frequently below zero in the morning and evening. It created the coolest icicles though!

Tradition-- Shepard's dinner--wow the family has gotten big, and not everyone is there!
After the shepard's dinner we had a talent show and CJ played the drums. (totally impromptu) He was shy at first to get in front of everyone but then when everyone clapped when he was done he thought is was the best thing ever and didn't want to stop. He kept running out to the middle of the floor during other's perfomance!

Austin and CJ

CJ loves when Karissa plays with him, probably because she thinks of the most creative games. This particular time she got a long mat and she pulled him around the house on it. He thought it was hilarious!
Another one of Karissa's creative games for CJ

After a couple days the temperature rose a bit and the isicles started to slide off the roof, slanting them drastically.

Kaden had his 7th birhday while we were there
After two weeks at my parent's house my grandma's health started to decline rapidly. She hadn't been doing well for a few months but the time came where they knew it would only be a matter of days that she had left. Jeff was missing CJ and I terribly but we decided to stay another couple of weeks since the funeral would most likely be the next week. We changed our flight and went to visit grandma Thompson one last time.
