Lake Tahoe 2015

We went to Lake Tahoe at the beginning of August 2015 and spent a few days with Grandpa Mark and Grammie Debby. We stayed with them in Debby's parents cabin/house. It is a old, filled with knick knacks little place. I think it is always fun to see little pieces of peoples history and what their life was filled with. This trip was the first time in a year that Jeff actually got to accompany CJ and I on a vacation. It was fun to spend time together in a beautiful place.

This little creek was just a little walk from the cabin and it was a perfect place to play and explore. CJ loved crossing the rocks and logs. We went back and forth, up and down the creek so many times. We went here a couple times a day. I thoroughly enjoyed walking in through the forest and enjoying the smell of beautiful trees.

We spent many hours each morning at one of the beaches. CJ played in the sand for hours. The weather was a little chilly at times and the water freezing but when the sun came out it was nice to wade in the water and play with the rocks in the water. CJ got brave the second day and we waded out pretty far since the water level in the lake is so low.

Immensely enjoying the sand here.

Some of what you see in the sky are clouds and the rest is from many horrible fires far away. It made for not quite as pretty of a picture as I wanted. Good for remembering what a bad year it was for fires in California though.

This day was warmer and spent a lot of time in the water and carrying buckets of water to his sand castle.

One afternoon we took a drive down the east side of the lake. It was a beautiful drive. The water had so many shades of blue, it was gorgeous.

I couldn't believe the different color stripes that went out into the lake. It didn't look real!

We are very excited to go again and next time rent a paddle board or kayak! Thanks Grandpa Mark and Grammie Debby!
