The First Snow

The first snow was a beautiful one here. It was Sunday morning and it all came down really fast. Before we new it church was cancelled. What? church is cancelled for less than a foot of snow?! This was a shock to me but I soon realized that as the day went on and the temperature dropped there road had built up a nice thick layer of pure ice. Winter is definitely different here than Utah. Spending last winter at my parents house where everyday of the season was filled consistently of 3 feet of snow or more showed me how much I could really hate snow so I didn't think I would mind it here. With the ice snow brings here on the east I still am not fond of snow and hope one day I can live somewhere where snow is non-existent.

After looking at how pretty it was from our window we finally decided to bundle CJ up and see what he thought.

He loved it at first, but it didn't take long until his nose and fingers were frozen(unfortunately I didn't have any gloves for him, I had borrowed the snow suit from a friend last year). It was freezing and the next morning the snow had a thick layer of ice on top of it, so thick in fact Jeff could walk right on top with out breaking it.
